Neve?

Hello everyone,

I don't know if the pictures accurately represent what I'm seeing outside my apartment window. My host mother today came into the room, pointed at the window and launched into a stream of quick Italian. Not catching everything she said, I thought wondered if I wanted the windows open. I quickly replied "No, no"... but she pulled the blinds back to show me that it had begun to snow outside.

Blast, and that was a word that I thought I wasn't going to have to learn/use here. I guess this is just the quota that the mighty snow gods have deemed my lot. Although there isn't a foot (or two or three) like you all have at home, I just wanted to let you know that even I can't escape the weather.
